The company, PHIL-EM ENTERPRISES INCORPORATED began in 1995 in a small residence - cum office based in Amatista Street in San Andres, City of Manila. Mrs. Amanda Pathak, who had years of experience as an exporter by working for various export firms based in the Philippines, felt that she had acquired enough knowledge to establish her own company. Since her last assignment as an employee was handling food and non-food products, she felt that it was her line to enter into. After due consultation with her spouse, Mr. Ajay Pathak, the two decided to form the company PHIL - EM ENTERPRISES, named after their son and daughter.

In July 1995, both Mr. and Mrs. Pathak made a sales trip to Dubai and were fortunate enough to secure a small order from a reputable company. So, after their return, they invested their savings in that initial order which since then has kept increasing. This initial order was a 20-foot container of assorted Philippine food products. For the first five (5) years the average movement kept increasing from that initial container to 20 20-foot containers at the end of the year 2000.

By now, the space in San Andres which was really for a residential apartment was getting very crowded and therefore they had to transfer the operations to a proper warehouse in Bo. Ugong, Pasig City. Here the movement increased from 20 to 30 containers annually and more demands kept coming in. Therefore in 2003, the company became a corporation with the Misa and Pathak families as incorporators, forming PHIL - EM ENTERPRISES, INC. duly registered at Security and Exchange Commission (SEC - 16.September.2003). The new company has 8 Directors (please click the who we are button to see the complete list of current Directors) and has grown since transferring its base of operations to Subic Bay Freeport Zone in 2006 and is now continuously growing using bigger 40-foot standard containers instead of the base-model 20-footers. For the last four (4) years, PHIL - EM ENTERPRISES, INC. has acquired the reputation of being the top exporter of frozen Philippine foos products. We are now also proud to be the exclusive distributor of successful manufacturers such as The Purefoods - Hormel Company Inc., Pampanga's Best Inc., Century Canning Corporation and others to different countries in the Gulf Region. To-date, we are shipping 16 to 20 40-foot containers monthly, in which 6 to 8 are frozen/reefer cargos. In the last two (2) years were there has been a general recession in the world economy, we are proud to say that we have continuously grown, thus providing the nation with our share of the dollar earnings.

It is not only in the field of export that we have developed, but also we have given livelihood to increased numbers of workers who are work compensated with salary, incentives, and bonuses. Needless to say, the directors and officers of the company are always on the lookout for the further growth of the company.
